Avatars of Lord Shiva
Lord Shiva is not commonly associated with a fixed number of avatars like Lord Vishnu’s Dashavatara (10 Avatars). However, some Shaiva scriptures, especially the Shiva Purana and Linga Purana, mention specific 11 or more avatars of Lord Shiva, known as Rudra Avatars or Shiva Avatars. These are forms taken by Shiva to restore balance and righteousness (Dharma) in the universe.
